Exchanges and returns

If you’ve changed address and forgotten to update your Ethical Time account, or if you’ve simply written the shipping address incorrectly, don’t worry! You can change the address of the order before it is shipped.

Changing the shipping address after placing the order

If you have placed an order with an incorrect shipping address, first check that the order hasn’t yet been sent by checking the order status.

  1. Access your Ethical Time account.
  2. Go into your Orders.
  3. In the centre of the order, you’ll see the order status.

If your order is still marked ‘Pending’ or ‘Preparing the shipping’, you can get in touch with the seller via Conversations to tell them about the change of address for the order.

If you order is marked ‘Shipped’, or when you get in touch with the seller they tell you that it’s already been shipped, check the seller’s policies to see if they can offer you an exchange or a refund. Each seller has their own policies which can be found on their profile page. Get in touch with the seller to request an exchange or a refund.

You can also get in touch with the delivery company to see if they can redirect the order.

The majority of delivery companies require the sender to file the complaint for a missing package. If this is the case, you may need to ask the seller to give you a hand.

Exchanges and returns of items bought on Ethical Time are subject to Ethical Time’s exchange and return policies. Read these before making a purchase. Furthermore, the sellers may have their own policies within Ethical Time (available on the seller profile), so long as they are more favourable to the buyer than Ethical Time’s policies. In such a case, it will be the seller’s policies that govern exchanges and returns with that seller.

Returns, changes and cancellations of purchases made on Ethical Time are subject to Ethical Time’s exchange and return policies. Read these before making a purchase.

To change, return or cancel a purchase in Ethical Time:

  1. Access your Ethical Time account.
  2. Go to the Orders area.
  3. Search for the order that you want to change, return or cancel.
  4. Click on Contact the seller.
  5. Select the order number, write the subject and explain to the brand what you want to do with the order. Click on Send.

The brand will receive the message as a request, and will answer you as soon as possible. You have a record of the message you have sent in the ‘Conversations’ section of Your Account.
